I keep hearing his name followed by the fact that we can't get him. Anyone in the know, hear as to why? Simply more interested in Texas? If so, all because he was a GA there. Didn't even play, graduate, or have a paid position there.

Why would he leave right now, after seeing what happened to the last Houston coach to go to A&M. Maybe, just maybe, he likes being in a job without meddling boosters.

Take off your maroon colored glasses and honestly look at what's going on here and at what jobs will be potentially open next year, what would you do?

I wouldn't leave a $3 million a year job at UH for A&M right now and I WENT TO A&M.

Not to derail the standard "Everything is awful at A&M" rants, but there is another very real possibility no Aggies are considering: that Herman actually wants to stay at UH for a while.
I know it's standard Texags reasoning that Cougar High is a joke and Houston is nothing but one big ghetto, but some people actually like living here and he can be very well taken care of if he stays and builds something.
