I really like the move. Let's look at recruiting:
Recruiting. Record
'10 45th 2011 11-2
'11 39th 2012 11-3
'12 65th. 2013 8-6
'13 38th. 2014 9-4
'14 40th 2015 11-3
Pro style offense. Now imagine with top 10 classes every year.

That is very good record... against teams that average about 25-35th in recruiting. Yes he will have "top-ten or so" talent once LSU starts recruiting defensive players again (he won't have it next year however). But he will also be playing a schedule against conference teams many of whom also have "top ten talent."
Fans can be easily confused. "oh look at all our talent...". If you have "talent" but all the teams on your schedule have MORE talent, it isn't going to end well.
I recommend looking at the other teams before getting all starry eyed about how well the team is going to do, or how some new coach is going to dominate with "all that talent."
Pump the brakes and give it some thought before losing your mind. I know... just isn't going to happen.
