Never to early to look at next year's opponents. Game just started, their offense didn't look good in the first series but their D looks good. They are stout up front and fly to ball to make tackles. Think Houston is gonna have to run their QB in order to open up running lanes.

I think their offensive line looks like hot butter. And it doesn't help matter that their starting QB just left the game in agony.
If Chad stays, they look very beatable.

I hope this QB starts next year for them. Their defense looks very good, but their offense is really struggling.

I preface this with saying a lot can change over the off season but Houston is giving everyone the game plan to beat FSU:
- This Macguire kid is not confident. If can bottle up Cook it forces them to be 1 dimensional and rely on passing. They already have shown that if you get Macguire off his spot (even prior to his ankle injury) he is not accurate. The only issue is Houston may have a worse secondary than us on our worst day (i.e. there are times their DBs aren't in the same zip code as the WRs)
- Mix up the rushing attack with an athletic QB and FSU is lost on gap assignment. That forces the LBs & DBs to respect which opens up PA passing (something Kelly sells very well).
- I would like to think our overall talent level is superior to Houston's. Our DL is more physical and hopefully could get a push without needing constant blitzes. Plus our QB (Kelly), RBs, OL and WRs have to be much better than what Houston fields. Only concern is our pass coverage but hopefully the Sugar Bowl will answer that question.
So long story short FSU is not an insurmountable team Ole Miss can't defeat to start the season next year.

We can beat them. They will be overrated like always which is good for us.

They loose no one off the offense but I would not say that it bodes well for their OL. They were giving up significant pressure to a non-SEC team. On D they loose a bunch of their 2 deep. Could mean that it will be a shoot out to start the year but Macguire is not impressive in the least.
