Nick Saban deserves every championship he wins by virtue of his work ethic, recruiting prowess and uncanny ability to transform blue chip egos into team players. I would never begrudge Saban another natty.

Sadly, on the evolutionary scale, Bama's sidewalk fans rank a notch below the amoeba. If Alabama wins the natty this year, expect those obese inbreds to dress up like elephants and hold a victory parade in your hometown. If Alabama gets blown out by another B1G team, expect multiple murder-suicides in trailer parks throughout the South.

We get it, he's a great coach, blah, blah, blah. But what causes so many fans from all different fan bases to feel absolutely compelled to worship at his alter even though he is the opponent? Once he's out of football, I'll say kind words about him, but while he's still on the schedule once or twice a year, all I want is for him to lose in every game that he coaches.

Cheer for the SEC? No. I'll cheer for SEC teams I like, but not all SEC teams unreservedly because we're all part of some hokey pokey "brotherhood." The SEC is more of a financial agreement than anything else and anyone who feels it entails an allegiance likely doesn't have much going on in their life. The only positives to being in the SEC are the top-notch competition and the money it sends to my alma mater.

Geaux Spartans, geaux Sooners, and geaux (Clemson) Tigers.
