you're now the 2nd SC fan that's tried to use 3 games he played against one opponent to prove a point. Interesting.

So South Carolinas line during Lattimores tenure was as good as Bama, LSU, and Auburns?

Idk. I don't have the slightest idea.

I do know that outside of 2014 gurley nor chubb had much in teh way of an OL but they still fared alright.

or he did less with less. And stop pretending he didn't have any talent around him. Lattimore's team won the division his freshman year and was a top 5 team before he went down in 2012. Lattimore is a fringe top 10 back over the last 5 years. The SEC has had a lot of good running backs over that time

You could replace Lattimore with Stevan Ridley and SC with LSU and it's the same story.

Ridley's not on this list, and he had a better 2010 than Ingram.

I think we're forgetting that Lattimore won big games almost completely by himself at a time when SC wasn't winning many of them before. UGA and Fla to be specific

UGA went 17-11 in 10/11, I wouldn't really call those big games.

It just doesn't make sense to question the legacy of a player who literally had career games against your team. Especially how hard you're trying to delegitimize him.

Wow. So now you're trashing your own team in an attempt to bash Lattimore. Interesting.

So, if an arkansas fan was bringing up the exact same things I am, he'd have a point because he doesn't pull for UGA?

We're talking about career accomplishments here yet you point to 3 games against UGA. That tells me what I need to know from your end.

My VERY FIRST post in this thread:

before the SC folks jump in, this is NOT a slight to latt in even the tiniest way. Dude was unreal.

I have nothing whatsoever against latt, I just don't think he's a top 4 or 5 back of the time period given. Not sure why that unsettles you so much.

are you mental? Have you graduated high school? Barely anything you say relates to the topic in any way. I'm not sure how pointing out our W/L record means I'm "trashing" my team. I was pointing out that beating 2010/2011 UGA wasn't that big a deal and I'd hardly call them a "big game".

Does Heisman qualify as a career accomplishment?

Both of those games were huge because they were needed for SC to win the division for the first time ever. That Fla game decided the east division. It's really not that hard to understand what im saying. Would you not consider that a big game for SC?

I am responding directly to what you're saying, not the entirety of this thread. I am addressing you because as previously stated by me and others, you're going tbe hardest against Lattimore. I am just trying to figure out why a guy that is a fan of a team that he destroyed is being more critical of him than any other poster.

Also, final w/l records have very little to do with how big the game was at the time and space it was played in. At that time, it was a big game for SC.

go back and revisit what I've now said twice about lattimore. I have nothing against him, other than I don't think he's a top 4/5 back of the time period. That's it, that's all. Why does it bother you so much? I've never said he sucks or he isn't good. He's quite good. I just think there are others that were better over the given time frame.

you are so hung up on this. Greyson Lambert set an NCAA record against SC but there's more to his body of work than just that game. Whenever people talk about lambert I'm not going to constnatly bring that game up to try to argue he was better than he really was.

Maybe not AT THE TIME, espeically considering we usually play early on in the season. But the fact is that beating a 6-7 uga team isn't really impressive, regardless of how "big" it was by kickoff.

Point is only 2 of the 10 have won the heisman trophy. Yet they are 8 and 5 on the list. So they were voted the best in the nation by those that know alot more than you, but according to you they are not even the best in the SEC. Bias much?

I didn't realize the heisman was a career award, you dumbfrick.

You realize the point of this thread is talking about the years 2010-2015, yes? And you realize it's possible that someone could be better over a 4 year timeframe than someone else who had 1 extraordinary year, right?
