Damn. In this sea of crap and troll posts, we find this gem, an actual thought-provoking, interesting post that we might learn something. Kudos. And thank you.

As far as gnosticism goes, have you ever heard of the Gospel of Thomas? That's one of the texts associated with them and it's contemporary with the gospels that made it into official canon (the bible).
