Because it's happened so often. The premise of your argument is bullshite. Further, your assumption that anyone including the poster you responded to thinks UT is improved because of the reason you state is a straw man argument you've constructed - a logical fallacy.

Anything less than 9-3 next year is unacceptable. And to be honest with how things are shaking up Bama is the only excusable loss.
