When the BCS formed, everyone agreed to abide by that system and those rules.

So every school signed an agreement that they would only claim final rankings awarded by the Coaches Poll (which agreed to use the BCS CG outcomes at the top)?

The AP never agreed to anything other than that their poll could be used as a portion of the formula. Unlike the coaches poll, they never agreed to match the outcome of the formula.

And no school pledged not to adhere to the AP Poll if it came out differently.

LSU is the 2003 National Champion. Enjoy it. No reason to re-write history in order to try to elbow out USC from legitimately having a share.

No need to rewrite history. LSU is THE national champion in 2003. BCS Era crowned one true champion every year. It was designed for that. And it did that. AP trophy was nothing more than a moral victory from 1997 on.
