UT was the best team we played this season. I know their record wasn't gold but by the time October came around they were formidable. I thought Hurd was the best back we played. He was quick, stepped out of tackles and had good speed. It was all we could do to contain him. UT was looking good in that game but got worn down. Now that LSU seems to be resorting back to...LSU and UT sems to be trending back to UT, this LSU thing as one-sided a rivalry as it already was will be a mere footnote in Bama. UT is back to being what UT used ot look like and the dormant series is about to get down to the wire exciting like it used to be. Come this time next year or the next, Bama fans will not even be discussing LSu but will be loathing UT again.

UT is just a natural rival.Close proximity, two winningest SEC teams, two largest SEC bowl participants and a ton of UT grads in Bama. Culturally not a lot different. Going to BTR is almost like going to another part of the world. At least they are comparable to a northern or midwestern state. Heck, they don't even speak with a southern accent, eat soups at tailgates and have last names that end in eux. Nothing wrong with that but it's not the true south and vast differences in cultures. THey have a Brooklyn accent in places. Never see that in the rest of the south.
