so, he should be fired if we go 6-6?

Well of course not.

How ever expectations should not be tempered. this is not a re-building job.

You list what we've lost. How about the 22 freshmen that played last year on a possible 10 win team.
Eason will , more than likely at least be equal to what we have considering he is an EE and will have spring practice. We had #6 class last year and at least that this year. The shelves are stocked.

UF is losing a ton on defense, they had 5 JR declare today. Plus will be breaking in a new QB more than likely.

For years everyone has claimed that winning 8-9 games a year is easy at UGA.

So yeah, if we don't win 9, there should be some pressure and heat applied.

I have no idea where everyone gets off pumping the breaks , wanting to not set expectations high.
They should be high, this is not a REBUILDING JOB. if CMR was retained, ya'll would be calling for an SEC title or his head next year with the returning team.

Actually they were saying 10 games is easy, since we are in the East and play 3 cupcakes.

I think they are going to find out that is just isn't that easy. I agree with everything you have said. Amazing how those expectations come crashing down because we got "change we can believe in."

That said, I am behind Smart. I think he will be just fine and will do at LEAST as well as Richt, and maybe...MAYBE better. I also agree with WG. You have to look at each season on its on merits. Injuries, flukes etc all play into the way a season plays out.
