Obviously the standards have to be more than playing in the SECCG once every 3 years and finishing in the top 10 half the time.Just asking what your expectations are using those 2 as your point of reference. Quite simple actually.
Can we make it to the SECCG during years where we are the heavy favorite and the other teams in the division blow? Maybe not losing to one of said teams by 3+ scores with the division on the line. Or maybe not trotting out someone with no real game experience in the most important game of the season?

Cause that'd be a nice start. Then maybe develop some depth on the LOS. Sprinkle in some actual attention to detail and we might be getting somewhere.

It's easy to bring up the "every 3 years" and "top 10 half the time" stuff but that also ignores that the first half of his career here was very different from the last half.

Maybe but lets look at the last 5 years of his career....somewhat right in line...2 SECCG and 2
top 10 finishes.

Which team that was bad did we lose to by 3+ scores?

I definitely remember many on this board screaming to give Bauta a chance because he might not practice well and be a great QB in a real game. Several cheered the decision....until after the game.

I love to see how the narrative changes once you guys get what you wanted. Suddenly the bar is lowered for the favored coach. Yes...his career was not the same as it was earlier in Richt's stint here. We came an eyelash away from playing for a National Championship. Seems I recall someone in this very thread saying that a Natty sprinkled in with a bunch of 6-6 years would be fine.
