I've said this before but will say again in this thread, Eason coming/not coming would drastically affect the next 3-4 years of our program. And I don't think I can say that about anyone else in recent memory. Sure, our games might have played out different if we'd gotten some more major 5* guys in the past...likewise we might not have fared as well if we missed out on some studs too. But that's normal and is expected in recruiting.

This is different though, primarily because of what we'd have if he didn't come. If he went elsewhere today (after making no '16 backup plans), we would go into next year with only 2 scholarship QBs, neither of which are very good. So '16 is essentially a waste at QB. Then we go into '17 with an upperclassman Ramsey (who as of this moment hasn't done a damn thing) and I'm assuming a TF in the '17 class (which we don't even currently have with BH's decommit). So in '17 we either play a senior who is unproven and has a low ceiling, or get our feet wet with a true freshman. Obviously it takes a while to get acclimated to the college game, so you're realistically looking at 2018 before we have solid QB play again, and that's assuming the TFr is really good.

Compare that to now. Eason will undoubtedly have a learning curve like stafford did, but if things work out we should have pretty good to solid QB play by Oct/Nov of '16. 17 and 18 you're looking at potentially elite QB play.

The differences in the 2 scenarios are night and day. It can't be overstated how incredibly important this get is to the short term future of the program.
