Boy, you couldn't be more wrong. Bama was ALL IN on Connor, and the reason why Bell ended up at OSU. At the time, a LOT of Bama fans were hoping we wouldn't go ALL IN on someone from the state of MS and turn down a player that looked as good on tape as Bell. We recruited Bell just enough to keep him interested and never gave him the offer that he could commit (in fairness, it was thought he would still not be an easy signing with UT in the mix that he liked a lot even if we would have taken him). It was a misevaluation by Saban. It happens. But you couldn't be more wrong on Connor. Of this, I am almost as certain as if I were witnessing it with my own eyes.

What I'm saying is an absolute fact verified MANY places. Whether you want to believe it or not, he did, IN FACT, call the Bama staff and tell the coaches he was signing with UA. Whether you choose to believe some fluff-feelgood stuff about him always wanting OM and never wavering or not is up to you.

Tony's people and some Bama boosters probably did reach a number ... Some promises may or may not have been made ... They weren't kept... What have we learned from all this... Bama needs to stay the frick out of South Panola unless they want to get burned again.

Back on topic:

Simmons was frickin everywhere yesterday... MS Dlinemen set up shop in the Alabama Allstars' backfield all day.
