Chris Jones wasn't a project just because he flew under the radar for so long. He eventually got his fifth star because he dominated in just his second year of every playing ball being his senior year. The fact the RN improved each year when he was so "polished" (never played DT in his life) is more of a testament to OM's development. Chris was better than Rob as a freshman and had a terrible sophomore year with a junior year leaving him out of the first round while Robert was an AA last year and projected first rounder.
This whole development argument is so stupid. It's something y'all came up with to justify recruiting like shite. Y'all have crazy coaching turnover and y'all didn't invent the wheel. Balis or any other S&C isn't doing anything that any other competent program doesnt do. This is not Houston Nutt. That theory doesn't fit when the guy who is out recruiting you also can develop, evaluate, and run a competent, efficient program.

His sophomore year really wasn't that shitty. You keep saying it was, but he's been racking up numbers and getting slight recognition all along.
Nkemdiche changed positions, he didn't have to gain 40 pounds of muscle to fill out a 6'6" frame.
Fair point on perception = reality. But I disagree that the top few are all these kids see. Coaches are in their homes, breaking down all the exact things we are talking about.

He was a 5 star that everyone said was raw. RK was a 5 star that everyone used the words "most polished" about. I mean, are u frickin stupid or something? No one said he was a project. But if you think one didn't need more development, you're a goddamn retard. Plus he changed positions. He was a 5 star DE. If you havent noticed from watching games while smearing butter all over your hairy fat body while your mama makes you fried bologna sandwiches, he has played DT in college. His body changed more and he had less football iq than RK. So yeah dipshit, there was a much different level of development involved wit them.
