Typically teams lose money on lower tier bowls so it makes financial sense not going.

Yea how do people not understand this? You know how much it costs to travel? Rooms? Food?

Plus we were 5-7, who the frick wants to go to a bowl at 5-7.

I believe the NCAA pays out 300k per team for APR requirement acceptance if that is the criteria, most of the lower tier bowls would also pay around 600k to 1million per team, which is redistributed per their conferences rules if required.

So yea, missing a bowl like in this case would be somewhere around 1 to 1.5 million for the conference.

The SEC office has plenty of fish in their kettle that need looking at,, this would be one of them.

That's mizzou's loss only. The conference splits the payout, not the travel costs. Tell those shitty players to stay in the super 8 and eat ramen. I don't give a frick, but our conference deserves their money
