Again, sorry. Tennessee beat Kentucky and then was the only top 5 team to win their bowl game and was named national champions by the majority of selectors.

The most recognized polls of the time, the AP and UPI, both chose champions before the bowl games and OU was their champ. And if you go to the NCAA website, they only have 1 champion listed for 1950 and it's OU. Even if you also include other selectors in '50, 6 chose OU, 6 chose UT, 2 chose Princeton, and 1 chose UK...that's hardly a majority...

Not to mention that you cherry-picked the rankings...UK was just outside the top 5 (at #6) that year goin' into the bowls before they whupped OU...but you already knew that...
