I hope this doesn't mean we have missed on MR's primary targets. But Odom as HC wouldn't be a terrible thing.

I was told Odom did not yet have an offer at Missouri, Memphis just decided to move on to next candidate, whom they have already identified.

Now we get A, B, or Odom. Odom stays on with A or B or lands somewhere else. He won't have any trouble I would think.

It's simpler than that.
Plan A happens and Odom stays cause it's the tits.
Plan B is Odom.
The natives were restless because there was worry about plan A and Memphis killing plan B.
Either Plan A is a go, or Odom will be our next coach.
Win-win IMO.
We'll all be happy, because either way an A+ staff is being assembled.

Well, when MR went to Denver, he didn't know what was up with Odom and Memphis. Right?

He's not just hiring a head coach.
There's other stuff going on.
Plus, he's an AD, maybe some of these stops are for other things.

What a huge selling point this could be to any coach considering the MU job. One of the top rising star DCs in the nation will (probably, depending on who the hire is and whether Odom is receptive to other offers) be there with you.
That makes me feel much better, whether we end up hiring Plan A, Plan B, or Sonny Dykes. The Dykes rumors were scaring me, but the thought of him with Odom calms me down plenty.
