Again, what Richt did at Georgia does not automatically equate over to Mizzou. In fact, it probably won't. Two totally different programs.
Richt was fired for waning results. I know a lot of people have themselves so whipped up in a frenzy over simply hiring a "name" I get it, kind of.
I just hope Rhoades can block out all of the noise and hire the right guy for OUR JOB and the right guy for US NOW.

Exactly, Georgia is a stronger program. We've seen what Richt can do with that, my point is that if he does what he can do at Mizzou, I think he looks a lot like Pinkel. Like I said, I don't mind that. I'm looking for consistency and winning seasons with incremental overall program growth.
I don't think any of the possibilities out there get us to a national championship without some luck, but if we keep the needle moving we can get there in a decade or so.
Five or six years of consistent 10 win seasons will certainly move the needle, and I think he can do it. I think he can do it a lot better than most everyone else whose name gets mentioned.
I don't remember if I said it here or TB, but I see Mizzou as a complete rebuild. Not on a year to year basis, but over the past two decades. I like where we are now (or where we were prior to this season) and I'd like to keep going in that direction versus taking a chance on someone who might keep it going.
I think Richt is talented, I think he's safe, and I think he can do it. I also think he instantly gets Mizzou into a lot more recruits homes and southern high school programs merely with his presence, which is something very few others can provide.

I kind of felt the same. But I think his past record and his experience can't help but put him at the top of the list. He holds all the qualities Rhoades is looking for. As far as recruiting, I don't think he will come in and do any worse than Fedora or Odom would. I tend to think he would out recruit both. I think he could step up the recruiting also. He is an established SEC coach. He's a proven winner. With the right OC and DC I think he could get it over the hump. There wouldn't be as much pressure here vs Athens and it may help him. He wouldn't be coming here to just do the same old thing he did at UofG.
