Both him and Verne must have been drinking. At one point in the 4th quarter, with the score on the sceen as they went to break being 38-17, Verne said... remember, LSU is only down 14.

Just about everything ol Gary does during a broadcast gets on my nerves. I for one am glad you broke your 6 year lurk to let your voice be heard on this matter.

During the Bama LSU game Fournette carried for about 3 yds to the 25 but Verne said "there goes Fournette for 25".
What I dont get is why Verne is still doing this. He started on the Cowboys broadcast team in 1967. He's in his late 70's if I'm not mistaken.
