Based on what? The only game he's had more than 1 tackle in was against Texas A&M.

Carl Lawson is talented, but with his injuries and lack of production I don't see how he is even in the conversation for the best D lineman in the SEC.

I understand he's been held back due to injury, but there is no way he's unanimously the best defensive end in the SEC, let alone the best d-lineman in the SEC.
