Look, I think Miles is a good coach, and an even better man. However, he is (honestly) living on borrowed time from his past accomplishments. Since 2012, he's gone an ok 19-11 in SEC play, and he's running the risk of finishing 19-13 after this year with two conceivable losses to OM and Aggy.

Less than a 60% win percentage in conference play the last 4 years does not buy you security at LSU (and it wouldn't at Bama or UF either). His last winning season in conference play was 2013. He has quietly become the most mediocre coach in the SEC living on what he did pre-2012.

I think the best route for both parties is for Miles to retire and get out of the way -- don't become a Mack Brown or Bobby Bowden.
