Auburn's defense has definitely looked better as the season has progressed. They don't make massive mental errors, they don't blatantly miss tackles in space. That sounds like faint praise but they have enough athletes if they just do those things they should be a middling defense that plays pretty well against bad offenses and ok against better ones.

That is pretty much where they are right now.
