I trust your basketball knowledge in general, it's just that there are people who start either saying teams are great after beating dog crap teams, or teams suck, and will never recover after losing early games to no name opponents. It's the 1st week of the season. I think A&M could be really good this year. There are some solid freshmen in Hogg, Gilder, and Davis that I'm pumped to watch, and then House and Caruso (who has been at A&M since 2007) give them experience in the backcourt which is huge IMO, especially in close games. But it's easy to look great (especially with rebounding and defense) against a team with 1 forward taller than 6'7" on the team (who only played 8 min), and another team who's tallest player in their starting lineup is 6'6"

That's fair enough, but there is a pretty strong correlation between beating bad teams by 40 and being a very good team. On top of that, I'm relying on the eyeball test. We just look good. These weren't games where the other team missed a million open looks and we had one guy get hot. These weren't games where the opponent mailed it in. I realize the dangers of going all in on a team this ridiculously early, but I'm willing to say right now that I think this A&M team is going to finish in the top 3 of the SEC. It's not a sure thing, obviously, but I'm willing to make the prediction.
