Can someone tell me what the difference is in this years DL vs. last years? Isn't it the same 6-8 guys? I thought that was why people thought they would be so great because they brought everyone back
I know they are getting more sacks etc but that is often in tandem with coverage being better or qbs being worse.

It is a much improved unit. I do not recall anyone last year calling them the best in college football.

Their front 7 definitely took a a step forward. The crazy thing is that their LBs didn't even make that many tackles against LSU because their DL played great. The aspect that may have surprised me the most is that their DBs looked great in run support. I thought losing Collins would hurt them there but it didn't.
The good news for y'all is that you generally have a more dynamic, imaginative attack than LSU's offense. I wouldn't expect Elliott to have the game he had last year but still have a solid game if Barrett and Thomas can help set up the run. As a neutral observer who has only caught a couple games of yours this year, I think losing Herman and not having continuity at QB hurts, but I still think yall can gel here shortly. Should be fun to watch.
