Bobby Dodd was actually a better coach than Bryant.

LOL. Dodd had a great run from 1951-1956. Outside of that here were his records

4-6
9-2
10-1
7-3
7-3
5-6
9-2-1
8-3
9-1-1
10-1
4-4-2
5-4-1
6-5
5-5
7-4
7-3-1
7-3
7-3
7-3-1
9-2

Georgia Tech finished ranked 9 of his 22 seasons. They lost 3+ games (in a 10 game schedule) 14 of his 22 seasons.

Dodd didn't stack his squads via the 140 rule like Bryant and others did.

He thought it was very unfair to offer a scholarship to a recruit and then yank it later from him. Dodd felt that if the coach had misjudged the recruit's talent or found a better player, then the coach should man up and honor the scholarship that he had given out.

I would take Dodd over Bryant any day of the week. If I had son that was being recruited by both coaches, I would advise him to go with Coach Dodd any day of the week.

When looking back on his coaching career, Dodd was most proud of the fact that less than 5 of his players regretted their decision to play for him.

Some of you Bama yahoos are simply not deep enough to understand where I'm coming from.
