As it should be.
Any team that cannot win their division or conference is an illegitimate contender for the national championship. I have always believed that.

It wasn't a prerequisite for the bcs and as long as there is only four spots available with 5 conference champions how can it be a prerequisite now. If they want to honor conf champions it should be 5 with one at large. Having four of five represented is disingenuous at best when you say conf champions matter yet they don't all get in.
