Watching the cellphone video it looks like he gets a few thousand volts to the side when the officer dives in at him before he becomes complaint and goes outside where he's then tasered again and beaten.
I don't think so. From the video shot outside, none of the 3 officers that enter the apartment ever have a taser or even handcuffs in their hands when they enter or exit the apartment. The one without a vest is going for either his baton or cuffs as he enters, but never appears to draw anything. The others don't even reach for anything.

From the snippets.. .it seems the first officer escalated the situation and didn't keep his composure very well.
That's why it would be nice to see more context. From the point the videos starts he goes right into respect my authoritah mode, but the videos don't start until the guy's arm is already up and I think the officer's got hold of his hand. What happened to get things to that point would go a long way towards answering the question of which party was most out of line.

You will never....let me repeat.. NEVER, come out on the positive side at that moment in time. If the arrest and actions are unjustified, you will have your chance in court and then a chance to file a civil suit if merited. But trying to argue and defy an officer when they have stated you are under arrest, will result in bad juju every single time.
I am constantly amazed that so many people can't grasp this simple concept.

Cops lie. Sorry, if I know I haven't violated a law, I'm not doing whatever the officer tells me to do and taking my chances in court. I'll stand up for myself in a respectful manner, but I'm not just going to comply and hope for the best. There are scores of innocent people in jail right now.
