The long Webb run was also helped by a dang zebra getting in the way of Neal.

I have no idea what kind of gameplan we have week to week with Treon. You are right he is too quick to leave the pocket. Can someone tell him on a WR screen to throw it to his chest not his feet.

Is anyone else tired of seeing the dang QB rollouts with pressure as soon as the QB turns his head downfield. Something in the blocking scheme is not working on that play.

IMO quick passes and TE involvement is the only way we move the ball in the air. Treon will get lucky and connect on a deep pass every now and then but we need first downs.

I think the players know that a playoff birth is still possible so they will show up to USC. I'm going so they better.

We had 4 turnovers on their side of the field and IMO 2 blown calls by the ref one of which was a TD. So if those things don't happen we may be playing a different instrument right now.

As far as only the white players giving props to the punter. I didn't really notice and I hope that wouldn't be a problem. But with the things going on at Missouri who knows.

Its late and I had been drinking which is dangerous for me to be on the internet after a shitfest like that one.

I just saw another replay and we had #8 Washington on the field...I know he has played a lot of special teams and some dime stuff...but we basicially had fewer starters out there and with 50 seconds left in the first half we paid for it. Neal wasnt responsible for protecting the middle of the field...McMillian was and he got manhandled, and as I have seen him do before...he gets into traffic on the line and OL just push him easily out of a play.

Neal might not have caught Webb with or w/o ref in the way...as he had poor angle once Webb broke through....and you would think with less than a minute in the half that we might have a player to stop long play? Hargreaves was on far side engaged with receiver and no way he could catch him. Webb had open field in front of him and I honestly cant remember a more wide open area for a RB than that. I could have scored.

Back to Treon...he was Mr Happy Feet every single pass play. But I cant understand WHY not one pass went to McGee? He had fumble and a pick...very careless. DRob fumbled after trying to really get extra yds. We just couldnt concentrate. I disagree about our team being motivated to play USC because of the possible berth in the CFP....hell...if we couldnt get ready at home to clinch SEC east how can we get ready this weekend? At least three teams ahead of us lost and there will be more in the next 3 weeks. The prize is right in front of us.

I've insinuated it before with the Driskel fiasco that there might be some racism going on, but I don't think we have nearly enough evidence to prove it one way or another at this point. That's a non-problem for the moment, but we definitely have to pay a little bit of attention.

As for Missouri, well, their team sucks. So it's really easy for them to go on strike when they lose every game.

My take on the game: Sleepwalking into a trap game, that's all this was.

Treon is legitimately bad, though, he's got no passing attack. We have to get the TE's the ball, but Treon can't seem to make easy passes even when they're right in front of him. He's almost always a yard or two off the passes, and while he hits it sometimes (he got a nice curl route), he is woefully inconsistent.
