I've heard these things too, but he has still been on the camp circuit and other schools have seen him. It's just hard to believe that UF is the only division 1 school who has seen his potential.

It is an interesting case when his only offers are schools like McNeese State, Houston Baptist, Lamar...and Florida. The articles I've read quoted him as saying that schools like Colorado State and Iowa State are "showing interest".

I don't pretend to be an expert when it comes to scouting high school quarterbacks, but it just seems like it would be an incredible scouting job if no other D1 schools see the potential and he comes in and plays well at Florida. I like McElwain already but that would be incredible if it panned out.

He blew it up at our camp and committed almost right after being offered. I have no idea why a D1 school would chase after a 3 star who was only given a chance by us. It can make you pretty loyal when the program that offered you was the only one.

It'd be hard to sway him at this point because he simply loves Mac. I'm sure he won't be pity-following other coaching staffs.

Paxton Lynch had 0 D1 offers until Weis offered and it was given to morninwheg by Pease. Memphis offered in late January. He was turned away by usf and miami. JJ Watt, Patrick Willis and Aaron Rodgers were 2*s or lower. It happens.
