We obviously still suck in the redzone. Last year even with NM we sucked in the redzone. To me the problem is Gus either goes vanilla, RB up the gut mode, or tricky mode Jeremy Johnson comes runs a 2yd QB draw. Honestly we would be better going wildcat inside the 10yd line. You get an extra blocker and have to count for the QB run.

Having a running QB won't offset the fact that our head ball coach has a noodle brain and can't scheme an offense around anything else than the read option. This is so played out. If a 4 million dollar coach NEEDS a running QB to score in the redzone then he should frick back off to high school.

i think it sucks that our coach can only be successful with DT quarterbacks (if that's true, it seems that way but I'm not sure we would even be good if we had a DT QB, i mean we did only win 8 games last year with NM). White is a good qb and a good coach should be able to figure out a way to score in the redzone with him

Boils down to play calling and not giving downs away. He has the personnel to be successful. For some reason he goes away from what has been working when he gets inside the 10....even if it's running it up the gut. It.is.baffling.
