Alabama has contended for a national championship into November/December 7 of the past 8 seasons.
Alabama has been ranked #1 in the polls at some point during the year 7 straight seasons (will probably take winning the national title to keep that streak going at this point).
Alabama has gone 8-0 or 7-1 in conference play 6 of the past 7 years and with a win over LSU will likely make it 7 of 8.
The dynasty is alive and well.
We have what about ~100 D1-A programs would consider a "dream season" every single season.
Winning the national championship every single year isn't going to happen. I'll take 12-2 and being SEC champs as our "failure" seasons just fine.
