Not recently but he publicly said more than once he wanted to coach again. What options if any he had? I have no idea.... But seems to me he hardly was turning them down left and right because he wanted to hunt and enjoy life like some are implying. His image (coaching wise) did took a hit late in his career. Tennessee played some bad football in his last years.

He retired relatively young, but I will say that it seems like that 05-08 run really aged him a lot.

Look at him in 2004 then again in 2008. He looked unhealthy and like it took a lot out of him knowing everything he built crumbled out around him.

I think it effected him a lot emotionally and while he entertained coaching again, the only opportunities he could have earned I think he felt were "below" him and not worth it.

I think he made the right call. I would be shocked if he isn't our next AD in a few years.
