Funny that that wasn't the criteria back in 2011 when Okie State played more ranked teams then bama but got screwed out of the national championship because they lost to Iowa State.

Played a tougher schedule and won their conference but all that mattered that year was them losing to lowly Iowa State. Bama didn't win their conference much less their division, but again, all that mattered was the loss to the Cyclones.

You're probably right about that being the case for this year though. Whatever works in favor of bama.

I just looked up the 2011 records. Bama beat 4 top-25 teams and lost to the number 1 team in the country, LSU, by 3 in overtime. OkSt also beat 4 top-25 teams and lost, also in overtime, but by 6, to a 5-4 unranked team who was 2-4 in their conference as of game-time with OkSt.

Bama's 2011 results

OkSt's 2011 results

So, what are you talking about?

I think he was talking about how Bama didn't deserve to get another shot. LSU wouldn't have gotten that chance if it had been them losing 9-6. They were the ones with the toughest schedule at that and there's no way in hell that would have happened. Crazy, right? LSU won when it mattered. Then had to play an extra top 10 team just to make the championship game. Bama got to sit around and prepare for one game in which they had all the motivation in the world to win. Bama had the advantage based off of already losing a game the way they did in their own stadium. I'm not saying Bama wasn't worthy of a chance, I'm saying that LSU was screwed from the get go. It made it entirely pointless to even have a regular season for either of them. They both could have just played each other the first game of the season having never met before, game planned all off season and have the national championship then.

I 'm not going to spend the time to look up a bunch of shite about teams that I don't give a hoot about, but for starters, Oklahoma State won their conference championship and bama didn't. I know that won't matter to anyone but those are facts. I also remember ESPN talking about SOS and Oklahoma States was stronger than bamas. The other thing that all the so called experts kept talking about was bamas loss looking better than Oklahoma States.

First time I recall people judging a teams loss over another teams SOS or conference championship. The fact of the matter is, if you were to reverse the records for those two teams, all that would have mattered would have been SOS and a conference championship.

Bama was pushed into that National Championship strictly because they were alabama. Oklahoma State was left out strictly because they aren't a media darling.
