I agree with you that Sumlin should be held responsible for the failures of his staff, but Spav has the same responsibility that every OC/QB coach in the country has.
Sumlin's failure is making a bad hire and sticking with it for too long

I think he's only ever called plays for like 7 games. He has no real experience as a playcaller

Right, because Miles calls they plays at LSU?
no but he hires the guy who does. And wtf do you think they talk about in that headset? You think Sumlin just watches the game clueless as to the plays like the rest of us?
Christ, yall are dense as frick.

the system is flimsy as frick to start, and that is all sumlins
the program has unrealistic expectations for quarterback performance. johnny was talented enough early to make it work more times than not but expecting the same from every qb who comes along is really irresponsible. that's on every desperate aggy frick from the boardroom down to the sheep.

How about a trade for Kiffin.
Even Stevens.

I don't think you'll see any of us argue that

Ah okay. I misunderstood and thought you were saying he should be calling the plays
If we were to fire Spav mid year it would probably be him or Christensen

how many kids are going to need therapy before someone over there realizes that you can't just throw talented players to the wolves until they are truly ready?

Nah, I was just responding to texag7 on that. Separate conversation.

You clearly haven't watched us at all this year if you would take Spaz for Kiffin

Do you guys think that switching to a mike leach offense would be a good idea or more of a pro-style? I've seen on Aggie message boards some want air-raid.
Posted on 10/26/15 at 1:52 pm to nerd guy
Personally, I would rather have a pro style offense.
But with the type of players we currently have, we would fail miserably in the scheme. Thus I expect a transition to a true air-raid offense

I still like Carson and think he could do well in a pro-style. But that O-line has to step up their game.
