Bama really needs Ole miss to lose another conference game. If Bama ran the table and was shut out of conference title game that would give voters an excuse to put a 1 loss Stanford or Notre Dame team over Alabama.

Which is why I stated the SECCG winner. A one loss Bama team at home watching Ole Miss in ATL (via tiebreaker) will not make the playoff unless extreme madness across the CFB landscape were to happen.

Either one of those teams would beat Ole Miss. Bama? Maybe not, but I think they could definitely beat the east winner as well. But I think if the SEC gets a team in the CFP, it will once again be from the West. Maybe the East can vote to join the ACC.
