Does LF7 break Herschel Walker's record? I think he gets it but again, more games.

But again, less carries

If Fournette continues as he's been doing he will without a doubt have put up the best rushing year in SEC history by most any measure. He should, after that, be in the conversation for best of all time.

In defense of Hershel (and Bo), those guys played in an era where both sides stacked the line of scrimmage and ran the ball every play. Every single person in the stadium knew what was coming on every down. Run, run, run. Run, run, pass. Run, run, run, punt. The only mystery was right or left and you could even predict THAT 75% of the time based on the formation.

Go back and watch that UGA-ND Sugar Bowl. ND's defensive schemes are comical. It's like playing the Punt Block formation on playstation Madden.

I think UGA completed something like 200 total passes during the entire three years that HW played there. And probably 50 of those were simply extended handoffs to Hershel himself.

You just can't do that in today's game. Even a Les Miles team that gives LF 25 carries a game is going to mix in enough offensive creativity to keep defenses honest.

Younger people have trouble grasping how completely different college football was back in the day. It's practically a new sport now
