We pass deep and wide to open up the run. We don't have a short passing game to replace the run if that's what you're asking.

LSU may as well just hand the ball to UF if that's the plan. It'll be 3 & out or interceptions.
You can't throw the deep pass and expect UF's defense to flex. The secondary is too good.

LeLand- I know exactly what you are saying. Watching the playoffs last year, OSU was able to use Jones as a deep ball passer to open up the running game for Elliott. That formula worked for them against Bama, but Florida has a much more aggressive pass rush than the Tide had, so I'd imagine that works in LSU's favor. Since you guys are run heavy team, it nullifies the pass rush to some extent.
