I don't expect him to come, but if he wants the job, he's a pretty big slam dunk. I like his brand of football. His teams are physically tough and violent.

I think he's happy where he is, and is likely to stay. But he's a good Gamecock, and he ought to be celebrated here when possible.

With the way recruiting has slid the last couple of years and the talent on the roster, SC is a 2-3 year rebuilding job. I'm not certain CMD would want to take that on. I wouldn't be shocked if he did, but by the time he got the ball rolling, you'd only have him for a couple of more years before he retired.

Fuente, who turned a Memphis into a top 25 team in his 4th year and is currently riding a 12 game win streak, is who I'd hire if CMD declines. Herman is sexy, but he's been a HC for 9 months.

And it's pretty well known that we're willing to go up to 6 mill base salary for the new HC.
