Eh, the more I look at it, he did SC a big favor. They've got a jump on the head coming search.

USCw will get someone with a big name regardless of the timing of Sark's ouster, but USCe is in the driver's seat for everyone else.

Plus it goes to show you how dealing with the press can help your legacy. Kiffin wasn't terrible considering the sanctions he dealt with, but he was such an arse that the media lampooned him. Jeff Fisher is similar. He's a perennial .500 coach but is considered a good coach by the media because he says the right things.

They would be looking for a head coach even if he was coaching another 7 weeks.
