As one of the younger posters I always hated that I only saw his tenure at South Carolina I would have loved to have watched him in his prime as a player/coach at Florida, San Fran, & Duke.

Spurrier was actually a bust in the NFL as a player. He was a good coach right out of the gate at Duke.
