Not to beat a dead horse
The last paragraph reiterates what most have been saying. Nate Brown states the difference between Lock and Mauk is that when Lock goes downfield the ball gets there when you come out your break. With Mauk he will sling it and not sure if it's coming but it will get there.
Our receivers and Lineman have had a hard time geling due to so much uncertainty from the QB. It exasperated our offensive woes and made it harder than it should be.
Does this mean we are world beaters on that side of the ball? No. But we all knew with our talent we should have been doing way better statistically these first 4 weeks. This actually effects the whole season if you think about it. That lack of forward vision caused perception problems, growth through game repetition, and a loss to an inferior opponent.
Hopefully we continue to get better and develop on both sides of the ball because realistically every team on our schedule is beatable.

Nate Brown was impressive. He may have been surprised when Lock thew that bullet to him in the end zone but he reacted well and caught it. The catch by Cam Hilton early in the game for a first down showed there are 2 guys that will stretch out and make plays when needed. Leftwich was present to.
Wasn't Jason Reese demoted recently for stone hands? Saturday he caught six passes. This is taking shape nicely.
