Peterson returned to Florida as an off-field assistant coach in 2013 under Muschamp.
Peterson played college football at Florida under Steve Spurrier. He had a 14-year NFL career that ended in 2012. In the NFL, he had 950 career tackles. At Florida, he was a first-team All-American.

That's an awesome hire actually ... I'm really surprised McElwain didn't hire him at UF. Was talking to a big time Gator booster buddy of mine in Eustice today and that guy is one of the most respected Gators ever.
