Say what you want about Weather Underground...but right now, the other guys are following suit.
Wunderground is calling for 0.8" Fri (80%), 2.7" Sat (80%).
Weather.com 1" Fri (80%), 2" Sat (80%)
Accuweather.com 0.2" Fri (60%), 0.5" Sat (70%)
NOAA 0.5" Fri (70%), 1.5" Sat (70%)
General consensus is 0.5" Friday and 2" Saturday. That's a hell of a lot of rain to fall on already logged ground.
Amount of rain forecasted now through Sunday:
The reason it's way higher than printed forecasts is just because they like to hold this stuff back until they have a lot of confidence. Usually blowout forecasts like this don't actually happen. The amounts in the map will probably go down, but even if cut in half, Athens is looking at 2.5".

This is getting reminiscent of the kirby smart flight status updates after willie left
There are only two climate factors that matter here. that Lamberts blood is a frosty 32° F and that Chubbs is boiling ,like Django after a good whipping. rain or not, we're stomping mud holes on saturday

No, this is BS. The storm is going north, the jetstream will keep it out of Athens. We are more likely to have a blue bird day than a washout.
