Kelly Gissendaner, to whom I referred in earlier posts, was executed in Georgia just after midnight. The 5- hour delay was caused by last-minute appeals from her attorneys and pleas from her children.

She was executed for planning the murder of her husband in 1997. At that time I lived about 2 miles from the then remote site where she and her lover, who wielded a knife, waited for him to show up at her request.

She wasn't there when he was murdered. She was out with friends while the murder took place, IIRC.

Either way, if there must be a death penalty, it should be reserved for the most heinous of offenders, and this wasn't one of them. I'm talking serial killer shite.
