Had totally forgotten he was SJS's QB corch and O-Coord.

We had some good times with him. 42-9 record including 26-6 in conference play and, of course, The 2004 'Shafted Season™ ".
Wonder what he's got planned for us?

The +22.5 is even more suspect to me now.

Sooooooo you're saying HAD Mike Leach come to AU instead of Chizik like so many wanted (not sure if a lot of our 'youngsters' remember) and HAD Borges stayed... We could've had a fleet of pirates?!

Damn it!

Maybe he will stay after the game is over and coach our offense the rest of the season, or until Gus gets a dual threat guy.

Yea from Auburn to SJSU he's really proved he can't cut it since leaving here.

Would trade him for Lashlee right now without a second thought.

Why?! Lashlee is vital to our playcalling and has devised several effective offensive schemes that have proven masterful at critical moments. Reminiscent of Kiffin to Carroll USC 2005.

I honestly dont know what the frick he actually does without heavy oversight on gamedays for us.

I always liked Borges and loved his offense. Of course when you have Jason Campbell, Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams in the backfield it doesnt hurt.

Well his current RB ran 42 times for 300 yards and 3 tds last week against Fresno St. And his QB was 20-23 for 252 and 3tds. He might just have a Caddy and a Campbell over there. I'm a wee bit nervous.

He put together the most complete offense we've ever had so I have a lot of respect for him.

So the 2010 season that saw

Passing

- Set NCAA passer rating record
- Set Auburn single season passing TD record
- 2nd best Auburn passing yardage season

Rushing
-QB/RB both had over 1000 yards (Newton, Dyer)
-Four players with >5 yards per carry (Newton, Dyer, OMac, Fannin)
-RB with highest YPC in country (OMac 8.5YPC)

Receiving

-Had #4 yardarge season by Auburn receiver all time
-Two players with Auburn top seven single season TD seasons
-Three players with 30+ receptions

isn't as complete as 2004?

I miss the days in which Auburn played as though we had 4 downs every series due to Cam being a guaranteed conversion.

Knowing on 3rd and 1 that we can throw deep cause we can rely on Cam was huge

The offense may have been better stastically, but how much of that is inflated due to Cam? It will be a long time before we have an offense as complete all around as 2004. Campbell, Ronnie Brown, Cadillac, Obamanu, Courtney Taylor, and then on offensive line Marcus McNeill and Ben Grubbs.
