Has your mind changed about this year?

I didn't really think we had a chance in the east this year. But after watching Kentucky beat Missouri and South Carolina, Vandy putting up a fight to Ole Miss, Georgia romping Carolina and Missouri barely beating UConn. I think now if we can beat either LSU or Ole Miss we have a chance to win the east. Georgia is the only team I see right now who has a chance besides us. They play Bama and Auburn for their cross divisional game and I can see them beating Auburn. Go Gators!!!!

UF could easily be 4-4 after the next four games.
That being said, mizzou looks way more beatable than I thought they'd be.
LSU and Ole Miss are tough tough games though, and Georgia is rolling.
If UF can steal one of those games, get to 5-3, and then beat Vandy, USCe, and FAU to get to 8-3, I would call this a very succesful season.
FSU for a 9th win would be the cherry on top.

The thing is, if we can stop the run, we can control those games pretty easily. Georgia has a decent passer, but I don't think they've really been too tested.
LSU is way more beatable and watching Ole Miss escape Vandy? We got a chance to make a lot of waves.
Next year, or the year after next we will be a contender again. Mac can make water into wine.

I was trying to tell everyone in the spring that this team could be 10-2 or even 11-1.
Ole Miss has no real run game like UT does...we can swarm Kelly like a bad rash.
LSU I have been pointing out as a W since the spring. We will stack the line and force Harris to throw. Mizzou? They might be pathetic but I dont trust those SOBs. UGA is going to be a tough game if Lambert keeps improving.
No reason we cant be 11-1 with a few breaks...right now Im concerned with injuries more than anything. My biggest concern in August was UK and I knew if we could get by them we had a chance to be special. Our true frosh will be much more seasoned by mid October.

I've been exceptionally negative since we hired coach Mac. I was finally sold on him yesterday.
I still don't think we stand a chance in the east this year as we play the best two teams from the west in lsu and ole Miss and Georgia I am actually picking to make the playoffs this year. But I think we can realistically beat mizzou, vandy, and fau with a chance at beating fsu to finish the season 8-4/ or 9/3. That is one hell of a coaching job if it happens and coach Mac will earn some serious props if he manages it.

I think we COULD win the East, but I won't be let down if we don't.
Coaching is pretty damned good so far, and this team thinks it can win. That is the single biggest difference I saw between that team last night and the teams the last two years. And we clearly have some gamers out there now.
That being said, it's pretty typical for Gators it seems to make the best case the expectation and then piss all over everyone when it didn't happen. There is so much youth on this team, and I think sooner or later, it loses a few games. If we go 9-3 and end the season with a decent bowl win and a team that once again believes they can beat anyone if they grind it out, I'll be happy.

Under Muschamp, the team thought it could win.
Under McElwain, the team knows it can win.

Lucious, is that a Les Paul on the left? I used to have a 1957 Les Paul...beautiful axe.

I still think we end the season 7-5/8-4 . I thought these last 2 games would be tough and we were lucky to beat the Vols. if we beat Ole Miss and actually mix up the play calling and run the ball more on first down , then I would change my mind.

I think we beat Vandy, Mizzou, FSU, SC and FAU without a hitch.
LSU, Georgia and Ole Miss are all teams where, legitimately, I think could go either way.
Running quarterbacks are giving us a lot of trouble, or at least Dobbs did. I'm not worried about pure sprinters.
I think LSU is going to beat us, I think we beat Georgia and for Ole Miss it's gonna be a toss up.
FSU is just not that good at this point.
9 - 3 or 10 - 2 is what it looks like.

I'm under a similar thinking as well. I think we take Vandy, Mizzouri, SC and FAU.
LSU or Georgia we win one of those
Ole Miss and FSU if we win its a close game but 9-3 and 10-2 would be awesome. I'm gonna be at the South Carolina game so we at least need to win that one.

I'm gonna call it right now: We blow FSU out of the water.
EDIT: Our fan base is finally going to show up for Ole Miss, guaranteed that game is going to be loud, and we are going to want to shock people.
I wouldn't feel comfortable about this one at all if I were Ole Miss.

I'm a little worried about the hangover effect from this win, but this is undoubtedly the biggest game the Swamp has had in years.
McElwain will have them ready.

Yes it is. That one is 2013 Traditional, and I have a 78 Custom in the closet. Both of which together wouldn't bring what a 57 would, heh. I'd imagine you occasionally wish you had that back.

Ole Miss is ranked # 3 in the country...we will be amped for the game. Fortunately yesterday I slowed my alcohol intake to half of what I normally drink....so was almost 100% sober in 4th qt.
We beat Ole Miss and the media cannot ignore us anymore. I see us ranked around 9th-10th with a win. Recruits are going to start lining up for LOI to sign. The girls school will be dominated by us for all the recruits to see.
Im anxious for Monday/Wednesday pressers from McElwain to hear injury reports.

I think McElwain said no major injuries, other than VH3 having his back flare up, but he played the whole game, and Bullard who did something to his quad, but he came back too.
I think we're pretty healthy.

Yes...I sure wish I had it now! I got it in NYC at a garage sale and it had been stored in basement.
I used to work in recording studio in the late 1960s, worked for ABC sports radio in NYC many years ago, been disc jockey several places etc etc. Had the pleasure of meeting Howling Wolf in 1968 at the Greasy Spoon in NYC, numerous times spent with Muddy Waters and his band in nightclubs....saw Lightning Hopkins, Son House, John Lee Hooker, James Cotton, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry numerous times, John Hammond many times and had good fortune to be at Hunter College in NYC in 1973 when the school became coed (sorta like the girls school) taking journalism when we had concert by Junior Wells and Buddy Guy etc etc I had more equipment personally than some bands. J180 accoustic Fender, six strings, Richenbacker 12 string several Fender amps. Fender Firebird...etc etc I will look for pics and post them.
