quote:
he took over a rebuild job that would happen in any time shorter than 4-5 years, especially since he has taken the redshirt route (which Arkansas desperately needed) vs the JUCO route to balance out the roster in class standing due to all the losses that occurred from the classes immediately before his arrival.
this is key
Bert's decision to go the long road building the foundation the right way that has a high probability of working instead of going the quick fix route that might work with less stable foundation hurts in the short term, but is better in the long run. That decision tells me he knew his AD has his back until that plan is supposed to come to fruition, which should be like you said in 4-5 years. If it doesn't bare fruit, Bert's gone.

No one has patience anymore.
I'd rather not take the Tennessee approach to coaching changes and have year after year of excitement in the offseason with massive disappointment in season.
Basically I'd rather move past this season instead of relive it year after year like they have done for nearly a decade now.
