NAME CMP ATT YDS CMP% YDS/A TD INT RAT
Maty Mauk 28 58 329 48.3 5.67 5 3 114.0
Drew Lock 6 11 138 54.5 12.55 1 1 171.7

Anyone who thinks Lock isn't the better option here is delusional. Both offensive drives with Lock the ball moved well and into the opponents territory.

Lock tried a few bombs which were ill advised, but he stayed in the pocket and delivered catchable passes.

I'm done with happy feet Mauk and his shite reads.

I'm ready for lock too but it's cute people think that a freshman qb is going to upgrade this offense going into conference play

What about a Senior RB who was injured?

Witter is terrible at hitting holes. Hansbrough will change this offensive look quite a bit.

What holes.... When every rb sucks. Eventually the blame has to fall somewhere else

Inexperienced much? Name one guy who is playing that has any game experience with the offense.

I don't think Lock is ready.

The unfortunate thing is that Mauk is terrible.

He looks like he's lost all of his swagger.

He was getting booed today.

Lock will play, but the offense won't be much better with this line and RB corps.

The running game has to get fixed. Maybe RH fixes it. But I doubt it. When there were holes the backs did ok, even saw a few broken tackles.

Hansbrough will make a big difference. He's a much better between the tackle runner than anyone else we have.

Lock changes things because the defense will have to respect his ability to make the throws downfield. With Mauk there is no fear except the occasional long pass he drops in once a game. Also the offense developes a rhythm, which was evident when he came in the 2nd quarter. The team needs competence at QB, they don't need a superstar. The defense is extraordinary, so just sustain a few drives, score 20 points and let the defense win the game. I believe Lock is capable of this.
