You're wrong. It did harm people. Who do you think he was trying to intimidate or make uncomfortable with a noose around a civil rights leader??? A noose obviously insinuates lynching and death to black folks. If you can't see how that is a bad thing, I don't know how to help you.

It was an act of terror, though not as extreme as we commonly associate with terror, but terror nonetheless.

Holeee shnit. You people realize that you're helping erode our freedoms by encouraging shite like this. One day it's a misdemeanor vandalism charge sending you to prison the next day it's your son being charged with a hate crime for toilet papering a house where a black person happens to live.
He'd probably get a fine or at the worst, less time, for throwing a brick through someones window... which could've ACTUALLY hurt someone.

Hurting someone's feelings is not the same as hurting someone. His speech should be protected, even if heinous.

Government does not get to decide what's o.k. to say, and what is not. If he threatened a specific individual, then we have laws which apply.

Debate whether he committed vandalism, not whether his statement was acceptable.
