Sunday while out walking an SUV driver who did not stop before going left and was speeding slammed into me. Now I got a broken right knee and severely broken right shoulder. The knee needs to be in a splint and can not walk for 4 - 8 weeks. The shoulder had to have emergency surgery (my first surgery) and is supposed to be immobile for 12 - 18 weeks. I got released late yesterday.

Anyway I come to ask y'all if any of y'all have been 1 armed for any amount of time and if so what activities one can do to stay active with just 1 arm. Please no dirty suggestions.

I ended up getting lucky a several times. For one the right arm only got hurt on the shoulder thankfully especially my hand is alright so I do not need to worry of my already shitty coordination (bad enough that I can not drive) will not get worse.
Another lucky bit was I was not pinned under the SUV but launched and landed only on my left shoulder. It luckily only got knocked out of socket not broke or sprained. The shoulder got knocked back into socket due to a speedbump the ambulance took on the way to the hospital. Also lucky my head, neck, and left leg all did not get hurt.
Another couple of lucky breaks are that it was an SUV not a car that hit me had it been due to me being so short my hip not my shoulder would have been smashed. Also the turn slowed it down enough so as not to hurt me worse.
Finally got very lucky that the driver (an old black woman) did not flee the scene and got me an ambulance.

Finally a few funny bits from this. I got less cuts from this (1) as broken bones (2).
I by coincidence was gonna go to the hospital the following day albeit just to the ER. I due to severe nausea had been unable to eat or drink for 3 days. Got that treated while there.
Finally my right knee has been giving me troubles for almost 10 years. Severe pain, it giving way causing me to fall, and general weakness is common for it. The x-ray taken to see the extent of the break revealed I have had a torn ACL for a decade.
